O'Keeffe's Healthy Feet is very different than other foot care cremes and lotions. The unique formulation creates the perfect microenvironment for damaged, split and cracked skin to repair itself and regain its integrity. First, it hydrates the skin with both water and glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant which chemically draws moisture to itself. Hydration is the process of replacing lost cellular water (only hydrated cells are capable of repairing themselves). Secondly, it traps that moisture at the cellular level to prevent evaporation. Thirdly, it alters the pH in the dermis layer of the skin causing the chemo receptors to react by activating the production of the body's own potent compounds that stimulate healing. Healthy feet is safe and effective for all skin types.
Directions:
Apply at bedtime and after shower or bath. Product performance is enhanced when used at night. Studies show a slight elevation in skin temperature at night. Elevated skin temperature indicates increased circulation which allows better penetration of the foot creme. Increased circulation, no weight bearing pressure points and virtually no friction make bedtime the ideal time to apply O'Keeffe's Healthy Feet for optimum results. Mild stinging of damaged skin is normal. Discontinue use if irritation persists.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Ammonium Stearate, Ammonium Borate, Paraffin, Allantoin, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Diazolidanylurea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.
The Allantoin is a skin protectant used in the foot product because feet are continually coping with friction. The skin protectant helps guard the skin from friction as well as increase absorbtion through the tougher skin on the feet.
